Cathays High School is putting in a bid for a One Family Grant in order to improve it's Upper Hall Venue.

The student council of Cathays High have made the request for refurbishment of their Upper Hall in recent years to provide a more inspirational environment for their productions, presentations and other school events.
This would also be a benefit to the community, providing a high quality, modernised community hub for local organisations and our partner primary schools.

Please find the following document that gives more infomation on what Cathays High is trying to achieve.

What we would like for you is your input and comments to help with our bid for this grant.

Please contact
 LLIEmail with your comments.

Many thanks to Sainsbury's on Colchester Avenue for their donation for our school summer fair in July. Our PTA is currently busy organising this event. The money raised will be used to purchase recreational equipment for our young people.

SHOE BOX FOR SYRIA APPEAL

Many thanks to the pupils and parents who prepared shoe boxes for this appeal. The boxes were dropped off at Anaya Aid Cardiff yesterday afternoon and will be heading for Syria in the next few days. The donations of toys, stationary, gloves, toiletries, etc, will be a welcome surprise for the children there. Thank you everyone.

CATHAYS HIGH SCHOOL ST DAVID’S DAY RUN

Cathays High School will be well represented at the St David’s Day Run at Bute Park on Sunday 5th March. A mixed group of staff and students will be running in the 1k, 5k and 10k races. As well as our elite runners, we also have a large number of students taking part who are completely new to running. Our Headteacher Mrs Stephens will be leading the team by competing herself in the 10k run. Parents, guardians, siblings and students are invited to join us in these races or to just come along and support us. Medals will be given out by the race organisers to all individuals who successfully complete the race that they have been entered for. Further details about the race can be found on the St David’s Day Run website or their Facebook page. Our training has begun! #CHskoolrunnings
