In order to offer a broad range of courses, Cathays High School works in partnership with Cardiff & The Vale College and Cantonian High School to offer a common timetable. Cathays High Sixth Form students are able to study one of their options at one of these centres, provided that the subject cannot be taken at Cathays High. The Partnership allows students to experience a new environment whilst retaining the security and familiarity of staying at school.
